Great expectations dating service complaints
I filled out a profile, with a well thought out bio, also including I work, have my own home and car, pay my own bills etc, nice photos.
pof kept matching me with people who have no jobs, no cars and kid after kid all over the place?
Reluctantly attended high-pressure sales meeting..not allowed to leave until contract signed; could not view potential matches until signed contratct.
NOTHING of what was promised was delivered after signing.
The lawsuit claims that the 1989 Act entitles every Great Expectations customer to cancel their contracts and seek restitution.
Great Expectations' standard membership contract runs three years and costs nearly ,500, plus a monthly service charge.
Before I signed, membership was represented as mostly college educated professionals who were too busy to date..reality most of the men were small business owners or blue collar. After spending over ,000, I have yet to hear from anyone interested in over a year. When I began to examine the women they had on line, there were none of the quality shown me at the interview. None of the promises they made were ever to come true. They would not let me see their website and showed me pictures of women who I later found out were not even available. When I asked to be dropped from the service and have my money returned, they simply said that I should continue searching and perhaps, I'd find someone. After I signed up and checked out the website, I felt that I was lied to and the service was not what was explained.I also received numerous sexual harassing first messages including one of a guy saying he was going to rape me. not all but majority of the guys on there lie, are cheating, using photos from decades ago, if they are even their photos.
claim they are looking for a relationship then say they only was sex in a message? they allow people out of spite to report your profile and it gets deleted after two people report you, even if they are lying, two so called men reported my profile and state it in a message to me because I wouldn't reply to their advances for sex? POF does nothing to the abusive users, I guess that's how the scammers keep going on that site.A class action lawsuit against Great Expectations claims the dating service deprived customers of the right to cancel their contracts.
